I celebrated my birthday this past Friday and I was made to feel quite special with a grand three-day affair. Friday, my hubby and I stood in line for an hour to see Twilight, even though we had advance tickets. Neither of us wanted to sit in the front row at the theatre. That was followed by a nice dinner alone, a extra treat that we don’t get to enjoy often enough. We had cake and ice cream with my family and parent’s on Saturday and Sunday my hubby and I toured the fourth largest home in the world; Meadowbrook Hall. Sunday afternoon was really quite romantic. We had lunch first then headed over for our tour. The mansion is just beautiful and nearly everything inside is original of the 1920′s. After our tour we walked the grounds together to check out the gazebo, courtyards, and the small cottage the couple gave thier daughter for her 12th birthday.

I now have a gift card from my parent’s that is burning a hole in my pocket, I can’t wait to shop! Aside from all the fun stuff we did together and the time alone we got to share my hubs also picked up a chandalier Christmas ornament in the Meadowbrook gift shop which I love and a new cover for my shootsac! I’m feeling spoiled!
