Okay people, this is only the second image I’ve ever posted on the weekend which is typically reserved for appointments and family so it must be a favorite. In fact, it is my favorite image evah! I finally did the birthday images for our twins Mallory and Hailey and I heart this so much; I’m full to my toes! I love the pair of them so much, it’s unreal. We’re going to have this added to our home in a huge canvas gallery wrap. I can’t wait!
So, a photog friend shared a link with me this week for a fun blog titled Thanks Jen! The blog is chalk full of tips and secrets as well as a weekly contest. Part of the reason I’m so involved with Flickr.com is because there are a number of groups I belong to that have weekly challenges. These challenges always stir my creativity and force me to come up with a fresh perspective and fresh ideas. I love to be challenged, to think outside the box, and continue to grow. I love meeting new people and connecting through common interests so I’m looking forward to what this cute lil’ blog has to offer. While we’re on the topic of themes…I belong to two Pretty Pink Themed groups that hold contests each Tuesday. This week the one group is Pretty Prink Themed Sin, choose one of the seven deadliest sins plus a touch of pink to incorporate into an image. I just so happened to be making cupcakes with Mallory and Hailey for school so we went with gluttany. And, it just so happens that I got super lucky and the theme for the other pink group is Cupcakes! Rock on! So, here is my entry for this week’s Pretty Pink Themed groups…

So yesterday we celebrated the fifth birthday of our twin girls Mallory and Hailey. We just had a simple day, a nice dinner with the family, and of course cake! Yesterday was a tough day; it seemed like it was always an eternity away, like it would never come. But here it is upon us. No longer babies, no longer toddlers, but girls. Very smart girls might I add. These two have brought so much joy and richness to our lives it’s tough to articulate. Happy birthday my beautiful girls! You’ll always be my babies!
