Amy and her little brother and family grew up just around the corner from me. Her closest friends weren’t big fans of mine when we were all in school and I’m so glad we all agreed to let the past be the past and chalk it up to teenage angst long before I had the honor of photographing Amy and John’s wedding because many of those girls stood next to Amy on her wedding day. Even better, we had fun. Lots of fun! To this day Amy’s brother Jeff is still great friends with my little brother and nowadays our parent’s maintain their youth by riding Harley’s together. Once in a while they let us up from the kid table and allow us to tag along. Amy and John are smitten, totally and completely hard core in love. You’ll see in thier images below that their typical state entails a beaming smile that stretches from one ear to the other and they each light up an entire room.
Amy and John and Nita and Frank, thank you so very much for allowing me the honor to document Amy and John’s perfect day and for having my husband and I as your guests as well. Can I just quickly add though… what happens in the photo booth STAYS in the photo booth! And, if it doesn’t. I’ve got blackmail wedding pics on you AND all your guests
I kid! Or maybe not. Amy and John I hope your wedding day was everything you dreamed it would be and worth every drop of blood and sweat that went into it. It looked like perfection from my end. Frank, your wallet will recover… eventually. Love all you guys so very much!

Practical and cute were Amy’s wedding shoes…

Check out yo swagga Frank!

Nothing but love for his baby girl!

Moment’s before she heads for the aisle to meet her prince charming.

Love it when a groom’s face lights up at the sight of his bride!

First Kisses. Kisses? Yes because they took their time.

They’re hitched! And, might be my favorite of the day. I adore their expressions and the light is so yummy, especially for a church.

A little limo fun as we head for D-Town baby! Nothing wrong with a little cell phone karaoke.

Does this look like the expression of a man doing his own karaoke or that of the after taste from a flask? I’ll let you be the judge.

Such a glamarous bridal party no?

Amy, you’re gorgeous. nuff said.

So love this!

Back at the reception, they had these adorable little ducks floating in the pond in the awesome patio area with a fireplace for those cool MI evenings.

And one on a serious note, although I don’t know why the ducks are more John and Amy’s fun style.

First dance

One of the evenings most special moments was Amy’s dance with her father. Rick’s perspective.

And this one because it’s a cute little moment between my mom and dad and it makes me happy. And, it reminds me that mid-reception when I was very busy, my dad pulled me aside just to make me cry and let me know that this was the first time he’s been able to watch me work and he’s well, uber proud of me; they both are. Love you mom and dad!
