My Faith just celebrated her 13th birthday and I couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she is becoming. Faith says things like “I wouldn’t be where I am without you mom” and “you have no idea what you’ve done for me.” I personally have no idea how she draws such conclusions. What I do know is I adore her, I feel like we ‘know’ each other, and we are profoundly connected.
The aspects of Faith’s character that I appreciate the most didn’t come from me but from her father. She is selfless, serving, nurturing, mature, responsible, and gorgeous inside and out. She knows how to read me and knows exactly how to respond. Faith has strong convictions morally and spiritually. She knows who she is and she isn’t ashamed to stand up for what she believes in. She is so many things I wish I could be.
