My Faith! She celebrated her 11th birthday in July. Faith is our oldest girl and behaves like a typical oldest child, typical ‘type a’ personality. She is mature way beyond her years. She is selfless, responsible, giving, cheerful, and funny with a few blonde moments mixed in here and there. She is extremely helpful, active, and there have been days with our twins that I wouldn’t have made it through without my Faithy. She is the first to give something up to someone else can have it. I guess like the peace keeper of the family. It takes a lot to get her angry and her breakdowns are few and far between. All my children love to be outdoors and while Karli loves dance and gymnastics and all things girly, Faith is still a girls girl but with a lot less emphasis than Karli. Faith loves her polish heritage and takes advantage of every opportunity to learn more. She is fantastic behind the camera too! Enjoy my faves of my Faithy!

My favorite!

I quit buying school pictures a few years ago and started doing annual shoots with the kids for their birthdays. And why would I want one of those funky school pictures hanging on the wall when I can capture their true essence and have all their personality and warmth and energy displayed in my home? Just because school pictures are offered doesn’t mean you have to settle for just the stiff backed, wierded-out smile, starch, and bland photo for the whole entire year. Whether you have one child or five, if they are of school age, treat yourself to a session for your child or a family session. Bring the whole gang out and you’ll have a variety of images of the family and each individual to display your true love and family bond and the essence of your personalties displayed for all to see.

Anyway, back to Karli. Karli is my “mini-me.” For her birthday I asked her what she wanted or wanted to do, she says “I’d like a pedicure and then to go shopping at the mall.” Well, perfect because that’s exactly what I’d say I want to do for MY birthday! So that’s exactly what we did. I noticed for some strange reason that when I eat scrambled eggs I try to pick up all the pieces with my fork by stabbing at them, not scooping. I find myself determined not to scoop and to pick up each last bit with just the point of my fork. A few days later, I noticed Karli eating her eggs the same way. Wierd. Karli has a definite flare for the dramatic. She does everything big, really big. It’s all or nothing for her. Just like me. If she’s happy, she’s really happy. She has energy to burn and when she isn’t happy, everybody knows Karli isn’t happy. Karli is an entertainer. She is funny and witty, she loves to sing and dance and her own personal sense of style leaves her looking and feeling confident and like a child who has just stepped off of a Disney set. No, not like Pooh Bear, I’m talking Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana. She’s a girl’s girl through and through and she’s my girl. Enjoy my Karli!

A lil’ boating…

I have always LOVED warm weather, sunshine, the beach, and being on the lake. Just wanted to share a few shots with you from one of recent visits at Grandma’s house out on the boat. Our family truly loves to hang out there and I love to watch just how free they are.
